Coral Plunge

A calm, one-thumb arcade game: pull back, aim and launch a pearl orb through living coral reefs.

The challenge

Aim-and-launch games are easy to learn and just as easy to make frustrating. The game needed physics that feel fair, a path the player can read before letting go, and levels that teach without a wall of instructions.

Our approach

The launch works like a slingshot: the orb flies opposite to the pull, and force grows the further the player stretches. A dashed drift line previews the path, so the gap in the coral can be lined up before release.

Reef walls are built from three materials. Soft coral gives way after a couple of hits, rock needs real force, and shell shatters at once. Mixing them gives each of the ten hand-built reefs its own puzzle, and a limited pocket of orbs per dive rewards reading the level first.

Key features

  • One-thumb pull-to-aim controls with a pull meter
  • Live dashed trajectory preview
  • Ten hand-built reefs unlocked in sequence
  • Soft coral, hard rock and brittle shell walls
  • Limited orbs per dive and a leftover-orb bonus
  • A per-reef score log and a built-in briefing

Private by design

The game runs fully offline with no ads, no sign-in and no accounts. Its Google Play data safety declaration states that no data is collected and none is shared with third parties.
